Signs that you need to visit a chiropractor

Chiropractic can help diagnose, treat and prevent many problems that can cause pain. But how do you know when it's time to visit a chiropractor? We've written this article (and collected signs) to help you find out.

It will pass

If you're in pain and you tell people, many people still think that way - and they'll even say, "It's a front, you slept badly, Jolana's in pain today, she called me" - that it will pass, there's nothing you can do about it. They dumb it down, but living with pain is not the best solution. Here are some signs that can help you recognise there's a problem and you might want to see a chiropractor.

Persistent headache and neck pain

The most typical. Your head and neck don't "just hurt". Whether the pain is caused by injury, poor posture or stress, a chiropractor can help. Treatment is a gentle, effective way to reduce, eliminate and prevent chronic headaches and neck pain because you don't just get one treatment: your plan may include spinal correction, massage therapy, acupuncture, stretching, muscle work and lifestyle advice.

Shoulder and back pain

If you find yourself rubbing (trying to massage) your shoulder or shoulder blade because of the constant pain, you should definitely see a doctor. Both shoulder and back pain are common problems that many people experience. Most of the time, they are due to our sedentary lifestyle, such as sitting more than our bodies can handle. If shoulder and/or back pain persists, it may be caused by a problem with the vertebrae in the spine. In such cases, chiropractic care may be the best option to relieve pain and discomfort.

Numbness in the arm or leg

There's nothing more frustrating and scary than having numbness in your legs and arms and feeling out of control of these parts of your body. If you're experiencing strange, tingling sensations in your arms, legs and feet, you should consider seeing a doctor. Don't be immediately alarmed there could be a number of causes, such as a nerve pinch. Chiropractic adjustments can help reduce pressure on the nerves and restore mobility to the affected area.

Bad posture, lack of exercise

Do you find it difficult to lift something off the floor? Do your shoulders and back hurt during everyday activities? Do you hunch over more than usual, sometimes feeling a stabbing, numbing pain? Your chiropractor can correct joints, muscles and connective tissues in your spine, neck, hips and other areas of your body. It's important to watch your posture afterwards - especially if you're sitting - to make sure your vertebrae are aligned.

Anxiety, stress, depression

Instead of all kinds of poisons (like Xanax) and hocus-pocus, let me help. You may feel that anxious thoughts, stress or depression are overwhelming you Seeing a chiropractor may be the answer to dealing with these cruel feelings. Research shows that chiropractic care can help relieve symptoms of anxiety and depression. Chiropractic care helps balance hormones and neurotransmitters in the body, improving mental health.
